Fly to Rio
Depart on a daytime flight on to Rio de Janeiro, arriving in the evening.You will be met at the airport by your guide and taken to your chosen hotel for a 4 night stay.
Your guide will take you on a short introductory orientation walk of the surrounding streets and beachfront. You will walk along the promenade of Copacabana and Ipanema beaches in order to gain a feeling of Rio de Janeiro's city life - the people, the beach culture, the apartments of the city's affluent, all that makes up the typical "Carioca" life.
City tour of Rio
We begin our tour by visiting the famous Statue of Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado Mountain where you can admire spectacular 360° views of the city, tropical forest, granite peaks and the bay. From here we visit the bohemian district of Santa Teresa, once home to the rich and famous it's now occupied by galleries, writers, musicians and artists. Our journey continues into the city centre for lunch at one of Rio's oldest coffee shops, after which you visit the cathedral and travel into the historical district to admire the colonial architecture and charming surroundings, whilst taking in the atmosphere.

You have the flexibility to pursue your own interests, relax or accompany our guide on a wide range of optional excursions visiting various places of interest around Rio. There is no set itinerary but decided by our guide in consultation with you depending on your interests and requirements.
Rio de Janeiro - Tourist Hotel
The Ipanema Inn has a wonderful location in the trendy residential district of Ipanema with numerous shops, bars and restaurant and only 300 meters from the beach.

Fly to Iguassu and transfer to your chosen hotel for a 2 night stay. Choose to stay in Iguassu Town, on the raod leading to the Falls or in the iconic Hotel das Cataratas, the only luxury hotel directly overlooking the falls with wonderful gardens. The magnificent Iguassu Waterfalls thunder over a wide curve of the Iguazu River set on the border between Brazil and Argentina. The spectacle of the Falls is one of South America's most extraordinary sights; vast torrents of water flow over a myriad of small and large cascades over a length of 2.5 kilometres.
Tour of Iguassu Falls (Brazilian and Argentinian Sides)
Enjoy guided excursions today exploring the natural beauty and lush tropical surroundings. Our guide will take you to the foot of the Devil's Throat waterfall where you will be rewarded with spectacular panoramic views and the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife. Then we cross over the border into Argentina to see the falls from another perspective. Here, will have a closer view of the individual falls in their lush tropical setting, abundant in wildlife, especially butterflies. You can walk right out to the roaring Devil's Throat waterfall along walkways that afford breathtaking views. This side of the falls is definitely well worth the visit.

Arrival at Praia do Forte beach
Travel from Salvador da Bahia to Praia do Forte, a charming, tranquil fishing village located 80 km north of Salvador with idyllic beaches, a small old church and sea turtle protection centre. The streets of the village are now paved and many of the fisherman's houses have been converted into shops, bars, small restaurants, ideal to relax, walk and browse.
A short distance inland is a "restinga" forest, a swamp for birdwatching and the old castle of Garcia D'Avila. This is part of the Forest Atlantica, a huge environmentally protected nature reserve with coastal trails trails, zip-wire adventures, river kayaking and many other activities - well worth visiting during your stay.
At leisure in Praia do Forte
Relax on the magical white sandy beaches, chill out in trendy sidewalk cafes and immersing yourself in the laid-back tranquil atmosphere. A romantic end to a wonderful trip.
Transfer to the airport for overnight flight to London via Lisbon.
Praia Do Forte - Tourist Hotel
A popular tropical-style Pousada located on the edge of the village, next to the Tamar Project Station where they protect endangered sea turtles.

The Tivoli Eco Resort is on the outskirts of the village surrounded by 30,000 hectares of gardens and coconut groves. The resort has 12 km of semi-deserted white sand beaches and shallow crystalline waters where natural pools form amongst the coral reefs, perfect for snorkelling, windsurfing and sailing. There are delightful lawns stretching along the coast, and nearby, a charming, colourful fishing village, home to the Tamar Turtle Project.
There are three swimming pools, four tennis courts, games rooms, beach volleyball court, boutique and a children's club, a bar and three premium a-la-carte restaurants with excellent international and Brazilian cuisine. Activities include sunset picnics, candlelit dinners, canoeing, scuba diving, sea fishing, surf lessons, Eco bike tours, horseback riding, quad bike tours and a guided visit to the natural pools at Itacimirim including snorkelling.
The well-appointed air-conditioned rooms all have luxurious private bathroom, balcony or terrace, hammock and sea view.
