Harmony Nosara

The owners of Harmony didn't intend on buying a hotel in Costa Rica. But, as avid surfers, they had met on the beaches of Nosara and fell in love with both the area, and each other. In 2004, they  bought this beachside hotel and have transformed it into a wonderful, natural and sustainable space, welcoming back wildlife. From your room, a short trek down a quiet jungle path carries you through the trees, past scurrying Halloween Crabs that scatter around your feet, to the pristine sandy beach of Playa Guione.

The hotel is within the Ostional National Wildlife Refuge, where the  Olive Ridley sea turtle is protected. Migratory humpback whales track along the shoreline. A diverse cast of wildlife including birds, monkeys, iguanas and even small wildcats roam the forest in search of food and shelter. And from June to December, thousands of Olive Ridley sea turtles come to nest at Playa Ostional, just 5 km north of the hotel. 

The hotel has a choice of rooms, bungalows, suites and villas (for family groups). Each has king size beds, free Wi-Fi, private bathroom, outdoor shower, luxury amenities, hammock and outdoor space to relax .The villas and bungalows have a kitchenette, work desk and private plunge pool.

Public facilities include a restaurant, bar, saltwater swimming pool, lounge, gardens, dry sauna, plunge pools, yoga classes and surfboard and mountain bike centre. There is a healing centre with meditation, treatments and relaxation and for musicians, a small on-site recording studio is available to hire.

The rates include breakfast.
