Located in Guanacaste an hours drive from Liberia or Tenorio Volcano National Park in a private 1,500 acre reserve of unique dwarf forest, Rio Perdido Hotel & Thermal River is a sanctuary of well-being in the spectacular Volcanic Sierra. A kilometre of thermal gorge (the river is translated as ‘the Lost River’) runs through the reserve offering a wide variety of activities. Rio Perdido was designed to be in perfect harmony with its beautiful surroundings.

The 38 air-conditioned and environmentally sustainable forest bungalows provide a peaceful retreat. Each bungalow is accessed by elevated pathways that connect to general hotel pathways and hiking trails. The design is warm and clean with in-room amenities including free Wi-Fi, TV, safe, hair dryer, mini fridge, desk and a contemporary bathroom.

Other public areas include a bar, restaurant serving international and Costa Rican cuisine, a swimming pool and spa.

Spend your days swimming in the abundant, completely natural hot springs or witness the wildlife, exotic flora and fauna throughout 32 km of hiking trails. Enjoy zip-lining, mountain biking and white water tubing, or if you prefer to relax by the pool or take a yoga class on a cliff-side pod.

The rates include all meals and selected activities (some at extra cost).
