The airport is the main hub for Tropic Air and Maya Island Air, they operate a number of flights across Belize and also Mexico and Guatemala. Additionally, other major airlines operating from Belize Airport, include United, Delta, American and Copa Airlines, which connect Belize with the USA and Latin America.
From the UK passengers can fly via Miami with British Airways / American Airlines, this route involves an overnight stay in Miami. There is also a self-connecting alternative route via Cancun; travellers can travel directly with British Airways or Virgin Atlantic from London Gatwick, and then connect with Tropic Air to Belize.

The airport is located in Ladyville, 16 km (10 miles) from Belize City Centre, approximately 30 minute’s car drive.
The Ladyville Airport Taxi Association operates the taxi service for transportation to Belize City and other destinations throughout Belize. The counter is located at the exit to the International Arrival Hall.
The Airport is comprised of a single terminal building, divided into the international and domestic areas with a total of 7 departure gates, which are all linked.
