From the UK passengers can fly from London and various regional departures with KLM via Amsterdam, Air France via Paris, Avianca via Bogota, Iberia and Air Europa via Madrid or via Miami with American Airlines. Several domestic and regional flights are available to connect from there with other regional carriers. The airport is the main hub for Tame, the flag airline of Ecuador, Latam and Avianca Ecuador.

At the heart of a new and efficient road network which link well into the city and adjoining municipalities. The estimated journey is 50 minutes in moderate traffic.

Travel between the airport and Bicentenario station is offered by Aerobus coach service, which operates every 30 minutes.

The airport comprises a single terminal building of 410,000 sq. metres, with separated sections for national and international flights.

 

Passengers who do not have their boarding pass for the next flight, do need to collect their baggage and then go through immigration and customers before heading to the airline desk check-in. Airline check-in desk opens three hours before departures for international flights and one hour for domestic.
