The airport is located 24 km from Panama City, reachable via the South Corridor Toll Road, approximately takes 20 minutes by car, or Avenida Domingo Diaz, via Tocumen, approximately taking 20 minutes by car, both run northeast from the city.
Connections:
The airport is comprised of a single terminal building, divided into North and South areas. In the last few years, it has modernized and expanded its facilities, doubling up capacity and adding an enhanced baggage handling system, platforms while still undertaking on-going expansion.
Level one of the terminal contains the airline counters, security checkpoints and the tax-free area. The level two contains the departure area and access to south and north concourses. The third level has offices and food and drink establishments.
All areas of the terminal are connected by footpaths.
Irrespective of the class of service passengers are flying, there are airport lounges that can be accessible by paying at the door, booking a day lounge pass or through a lounge membership program such as Priority Pass. - Tocumen Royal Saloon. Landside - take the stairways to the 3rd Level. The lounge is located on the right-hand side, next to 'Irene's Boutique'. Opening hours: 24 hours. All passengers can access the lounge by paying a fee of GBP25 at the door for a three-hour stay. Click here for more information.
- Copa Club – United. Airside, 2nd Floor, near gates 21 & 21A. Opening hours: 05:15 – 22:45. The following passengers are eligible for complimentary access: Star Alliance Gold status passengers on international flights with Star Alliance member airlines and passengers travelling in Business Class or in First Class on international flights with any Star Alliance member airlines.
