The airport is located 19 km (12 mi) from the centre of Montevideo.
Transport is available by private taxi and public transit. The journey time to Montevideo city centre is approximately 40 minutes by car. The airport is also a gateway to Punta Del Este, which is located 100 km from the airport. Car journey taxes approximately 1hr 45 minutes.
Montevideo Airport is comprised of a one Main Terminal Building, this terminal building has four jet bridges, separate floors for arrivals and departures and a large viewing area on the top floor.
Passengers connecting to Punta Del Este airport in Maldonado can easily connect with Aerolineas Argentinas, Amaszonas, Gol Airlines and Latam Airlines.
The airport is also connected to interdepartmental buses to other cities in Uruguay such as Maldonado.
