Nestling in the heart of the spice area in the low hills of the Southern Ghats and surrounded by tropical jungle, this rustic retreat is ideal for visiting nearby Periyar. It is the only boutique Hotel in the area and comprises of a main lodge, dining room, snug sitting room and a hall.
Sprawling up the hill are 22 rooms and cottages which are decorated simply but comfortably in contemporary yet local style. Most have verandahs or a small garden, 2 are traditional Keralan style and 2 villas have private pools.
There is a pretty swimming pool, treehouse and Ayurvedic massage room. The property abounds with exotic trees and different spices. You can explore the area on a walking tour, go bamboo rafting or spotting elephants.
