Jaipur is the largest city of Rajasthan an was established in 1727. It is known as the ‘Pink City’ due to the colour of many of the ancient buildings, and is rich in heritage, culture and architecture with splendid fortresses, majestic palaces, tranquil temples and beautiful havelis.

Amber Fort Built in 1592, is an opulent palace complex built with red sandstone and marble.
The Albert Hall has an Indo saracenic type of architecture similar to the Victoria and Albert museum in London. The museum houses 19,000 historic objects including dresses and jewellery of all the classes and tribes of Rajasthani people.
The Anokhi Foundation aims to preserve the centuries old customs and traditions of the artisans in Jaipur, such as hand printing and supports local people into jobs.
Built between 1729 and 1732, the City Palace complex lies in the heart of Jaipur. It is a sprawling complex, with its vast array of courtyards, gardens, gorgeous buildings and collection of art, artefacts, textiles and costumes, armoury, manuscripts and paintings.
Hawa Mahal is built of red and pink sandstone, its unique five-storey exterior is akin to the honeycomb of the beehive. Its 953 small windows called jharokhas that are decorated with intricate latticework. The original intention of the lattice was to allow royal ladies to observe everyday life in the street below without being seen, since they had to observe strict "purdah".
The Indology Museum is the most eclectic museum in Jaipur, with an excellent private collection of folk and Tantric art objects, paintings done on rice, manuscripts, ornaments, fossils, clocks and currency notes.
Jaigarh Fort stands in the midst of thorn-scrub hills of Rajasthan and houses the world's largest cannon on wheels, has a majestic palace complex and the assembly hall of the warriors along with a museum and an armoury.
Jantar Mantar is an observatory measuring time, predicting eclipses, tracking stars' location as the earth orbits around the sun, ascertaining the declinations of planets, and determining the celestial altitudes.
Dedicated to Lord Vishnu and his consort Lakshmi, Birla Mandir exhibits contemporary architecture. Built in with glittering white marble, this temple presents an enthralling look.
Sanganer is known for its handmade paper industry. Here, we will visit one of the factories making handmade paper by recycling fabric. At the end of a tour, you can purchase beautiful items including notebooks, wrapping paper and cards. You can also observe the making of blue pottery and bock printing oil fabric.
