Visalam is a wonderful 70 year old restored mansion, once owned by a prosperous trading family of the Chettiars of Tamil Nadu. The hotel is committed to the local community, ecology and preserving the local culture. The hotel can organise trips to Chettinad and Aathangudy, a nearby village famous for its hand made tiles.
