Travel to Chichen Itza
This morning, drive to Chichen Itza where you stay for two nights including breakfast. Later, explore the magnificent Mayan pyramids and ancient buildings where they practiced human sacrifice and observed the movement of the heavens. In the evening, you can opt to see a special sound and light show at the site, where the temples are lit up in the night sky.
There is also the opportunity to visit the nearby Ikil Cenote, a large ancient sinkhole in the ground (produced by the limestone earth falling through) with vegetation growing all around and access to the water level so that you can go for an underground swim.

Explore the ancient archeological site of Uxmal today. The well preserved buildings here are in a 'Puuc' style (Uxmal was the 'Puuc' religious and administrative centre between 7th and 10th centuries) and all feature unique finely carved façades in magnificent stucco.
Also worth a visit is nearby Kabah, the second largest regional centre in 'Puuc' times.
