Your transport will meet you at your hotel to take you to Chichen-Itza (There is the ppossibility to take this tour with a self drive vehicle where you take responsibility for your transport, safety, orientation and timing. Please enquire). Stay for two nights to explore the magnificent Mayan pyramids and ancient buildings where they practiced human sacrifice and observed the movement of the heavens.
There is also the opportunity to visit the nearby Ikil Cenote, a large ancient sinkhole in the ground (produced by the limestone earth falling through) with vegetation growing all around and access to the water level so that you can go for an underground swim.

Explore the ancient archeological site of Uxmal today. The well preserved buildings here are in a 'Puuc' style (Uxmal was the 'Puuc' religious and administrative centre between 7th and 10th centuries) and all feature unique finely carved façades in magnificent stucco.
Also worth a visit is nearby Kabah, the second largest regional centre in 'Puuc' times.
