Venture out after sunset to observe the fascinating life of nocturnal frogs, snakes, insects and night monkeys.

Whilst the various jungle trails followed through the day offer you the chance to observe colourful birds and a variety of monkeys, you have to also venture out in the evening if you want to see an entirely different set of creatures which live in the Amazon, as many species of mammals, insects, reptiles and amphibians are nocturnal. Under the cover of darkness the Peruvian rainforest takes on a very different character and it is at this time that we can best appreciate its beautiful tree frogs, the astonishingly camouflaged insects, leaping night monkeys and many other weird and wonderful inhabitants. This is a must-do activity to complete your Amazon experience.
