The youngest sibling of the stylish Vik hotels, Bahia Vik sits along a stretch of white sand on the edge of Uruguay’s small beach town, José Ignacio.
There are 49 beautifully furnished suites in total which are spread throughout the property – 10 in the main building and the rest divided between fourteen uniquely designed bungalows tucked into the beach dunes. Artist involvement is again an important focus at Bahia, where a wide range of contemporary Uruguayan and international artists collaborated with Alex and Carrie Vik and Marcelo Daglio to create site-specific installations for many spaces.
Dining options include private dining, an on-site restaurant and newly opened La Susanna - a stylish beachfront restaurant.
