The Nahuel Huapi National Park is an ideal place for us to lace up our walking boots and venture out into the great outdoors, reaching hidden landscapes and viewpoints otherwise inaccessible places by car. Lakes sparkle below and distant snow-capped volcanoes dot the horizon. Designated paths lead through verdant woodland and dramatic mountains and link a series of specially constructed huts and log cabins. These provide basic amenities and accommodation for longer treks, though there are a number of shorter half-day hikes which introduce you to the splendid scenery here.
