Tabatinga is a small town in the heart of the Amazon basin rainforest, on the border of Brazil, Peru and Colombia, called the "Three Frontiers".

Tabatinga is a municipality in the Três Fronteiras area of Northwestern Brazil, on the border with Peru and Colombia. It is located in the Brazilian state of Amazonas. Over the border in Colombia is the small fishing village of Leticia, a hive of activity and trade.

There is an airport on the Colombia side with flights to Bogota, plus one airport on the Brasilian side with flights to Manaus. Therefore Tres Fronterias is an important junction for travel in the remote Amazon basin. 

There are also boat services to Iquitos in Peru taking between one and three days; this is tough, long journey on a speedboat / canoe, or a very basic larger local river boat sleeping in hammocks hung on communal decks, basic communal toilets and this small kitchen providing meals. The service that we provides involves chartering a boat for a private journey in 4 days / 3 nights, with stops along the way to visit local communities, walk on the forest, isolated farmhouses and guides excursions to witness how life is developing along the river banks.
