Heading east towards the mighty Andes, you will soon find yourself in the Maipo River Valley and the quaint mountain town of San Alfonso, where we enter a 3600 hectare park of rugged mountains and valleys, rivers, springs and waterfalls. Designed to help guests relax from the frantic pace of the modern world, this park is filled with flower gardens, and quiet forest trails for exploring. For the most active ones, the park offers a large variety of activities that you can participate in by signing up at the park’s entrance. Among these are horse riding, trekking and hiking, white water rafting, zip line, canopy tour and ropes course. A superb pool is also available for those who just want to enjoy a day contemplating the Andes while sunbathing. In the mid-afternoon, there will be time to stop on the way to grab some local products and souvenirs from this picturesque place.
