A visit to Elton Hall is like a walk through history as it reflects the changing tastes and vision of each generation, making it the unique and magical place it is today.

Every room is packed with magnificent treasures – antique furniture and a superb collection of fine paintings including important works by Old Masters dating from the early 15th-century to remarkable 19th-century works by J. F. Lewis, Landseer & Millais.

The library is particularly noteworthy and includes one of the most important collections in private hands. Revel in the opportunity to see the prayer book given to the infamous Henry VIII; inside it you can see the handwriting of this tyrannical Tudor king as well as that of his three children.

In the magnificent gardens, a programme of restoration which began in the 1980’s continues to this day with the creation of a Gothic Orangery, flower garden, arboretum and an enchanting sunken lily pond.
