From Kathmandu's Durbar Square with its many temples, travel across dramatic mountain scenery to Pokhara, with its scenic lake and gateway to the famous Annapurna mountain range. You can trek for days explore the region and visit a Gurkha village where retired soldiers live with memories of battles fort. 

For the more adventurous, you can fly from Kathmandu and trek to Everest basecamp.

Nepal also has its own Royal Chitwan National Park, located in the south of the country. Here, from the comfort of your lodge, you can take 4 x 4 safaris, guided nature walks and boat trips admiring the wildlife including crocodiles, elephants, tigers, one-horned rhinos and many endemic species of birds.
