Butterfly House

The butterfly farm at Sacha Lodge is one of the largest in Ecuador - a great place to see these beautiful creatures.

The Butterfly House at the Sacha Lodge is designed to serve as an educational facility, breeding centre and, most importantly, a habitat in which hundreds of colourful butterflies can be seen at close proximity. The farm now breeds nearly 40 butterfly species, including transparent glass-wing butterflies, spectacular blue morphs, striking tiger longwings, bright yellow swallowtails and giant nocturnal owl butterflies. These can be seen in great numbers as you wonder through the aptly name flying room.
