Guests staying at the Sacha Lodge will have the chance to explore the forest canopy and understory.
In addition to the nearby canopy towers, the Sacha Lodge offers guests the chance to cross the 275 metre long canopy walkway, 30 metres above the ground. Fixed to metal towers for stability, the walkway provides a wonderful vantage point from which to appreciate both the scale of the rainforest and the extraordinary life which exists in the canopy. Thousands of exotic birds can be seen at eye-level and perhaps some monkeys and other small mammals too, the majority of which would be impossible to see in any great detail from the ground.
One of the other major advantages of this walkway is that it lets you see the various layers of the rainforest, giving you the complete picture from forest floor to canopy. It is here where you might find hummingbirds, snakes, sloths, tree frogs and, if you are extremely lucky, maybe even a jaguar or a puma.
