The airport is 46 kilometres to Beijing City centre, and 65 kilometres from the existing Beijing Capital Airport. Daxing airport opened its doors on September 30, 2019. Driving is accessible via the Daxing Airport Expressway, which is 27 km long and takes 20 minutes average from the city centre. Taxis are available on the first floor of the west side of the terminal. Airport bus services are split into city buses and inter-provincial buses, which can connect easily with the whole of Beijing area.
There are also trains services from Daxing Airport line to Caoqiao train station, which easily connect with the rest of the metro system in Beijing. Passengers can do the web check-in at Caoqiao station. The train journey takes 19 minutes.
The visa-free transit: This is a policy has been implemented when taking an international transfer via Beijing Daxing Airport. The policy applies to citizens from 53 countries who hold a ticket to connect travel to a third country (region) with confirmed seats and a departure time within 144 hours. The 144-hour visa-free transit policy shall apply for British passengers as well as most European citizens.
CONNECTIONS
Daxing is the largest single-terminal building airport, with an area of 1,000,000 m2 (11,000,000 sq ft). That is more than double the size of London Heathrow.
The terminal design is inspired by traditional Chinese aesthetics. Passengers do not have to walk more than 600m to reach the connecting flight's gates, walking distance between gates take approximately 10 minutes maximum.
The East China Sea Travel Lounge:
