Full day guided tour

Enjoy a full day exploring Mexico City with your Veloso Tours guide visiting the historical centre with its fine cathedral, Palacio de Bellas Artes (Palace of Fine arts), the Alameda gardens, and Condesa, a wonderfully characterful residential area which has become a hub of artistic creativitiy and charming restaurants and cafes. Drive to San Miguel de Allende

This morning take a private transfer to San Miguel de Allende, arriving about lunchtime. Check into your chosen hotel for a 3-night stay including breakfast. 

The walled city is UNESCO World Heritage Site, whose well-preserved centre offers beautiful gardens, Baroque and Classical colonial buildings, a towering Cathedral and the historic home of the Independence hero Ignacio Allende.

Many artists live and lived here. Sit in the main square to enjoy a coffee and watch the world go by. There are many restaurants, cafes and art shops to enjoy and explore. There is a and very good are market offering local paintings, textiles, sculptures, garden furniture and, among others, only a few minutes from the centre.

Drive to Oaxaca

Take a private transfers by car to Oaxaca, arriving just after lunch. In the afternoon, check into your chosen hotel for a 4-night stay including breakfast.

The Spanish colonial city Oaxaca (pronounced wa-ha-ca), was founded in 1529, near an Indian settlement called Huaxyacac. Its location is ideal, with a superb mountain climate that means it never gets too hot or cold. The city has a strong indigenous influence and a thriving artistic community, as well as some beautiful Spanish colonial architecture and fine museums, giving itself an unexpectedly cosmopolitan atmosphere.

We then visit the archaeological ruins of Mitla, a well-preserved Mesoamerican site in the Oaxaca Valley.

We drive through scenic, lush tropical rainforests to the coast and our final destination, the laid-back resort town of Puerto Escondido. Nowhere is more enticing than Puerto Escondido, once a small fishing village and coffee port and now a thriving, yet laid-back resort. The towns major attractions are it’s beaches lined with palm trees and thatch-roofed bars. Surfers will enjoy time on Zicatela Beach, renowned for its Mexican Pipeline surf break as well as La Punta Beach which has smaller waves. Carrizalillo Beach is set in a cove backed by steep cliffs. Water-sports and relaxation are the main activities to enjoy.
