Argentine Lake District Grand Tour

Discover the lakes, lagoons, valleys, forests and mountains of the Argentine Lake District in this memorable grand tour.

This panoramic tour will introduce you to the astonishing natural beauty which surrounds Bariloche in northern Patagonia. Visiting some of the most scenic spots, the trip combines sparkling lakes, small lagoons, wide valleys, magical rock formations and verdant forests. The first highlight is the extraordinary Amphitheatre, created by erosion from the Limay River, before we head into the enticingly named Enchanted Valley, noted for its impressive rock formations. We cross over different rivers and then pause to enjoy the panoramic view from the lookout high above the deep blue waters of Lake Traful. Just up the road is the village, where you will have lunch or perhaps try some homemade chocolates and pastry.

The next destination is Villa La Angostura, passing dense forest and Lake Correntoso on the way. Upon arrival there will be the chance to visit the Cerro Bayo ski area, as well as the Rio Bonito waterfall. We then follow the road through yet more spectacular scenery along the northern shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi, crossing back to Bariloche.
