Kichwa Añangu Community

Those staying at the Napo Wildlife Centre can discover the Amazon way of life by visiting the Kichwa Añangu community.

As its name suggests, the Napo Wildlife Centre is a wonderful place to connect with nature, but guests can also experience the human life of the Amazon Rainforest by visiting the local Kichwa Añangu community. During the visit you will learn all about their way of life and how the members learn skills and knowledge from their relatives and gather food and drink. You will also be able to sample some of this for yourself and also see first-hand the projects which are helping to strengthen the community and gain independence.
