Argentina's diverse landscapes range from snow-capped mountain peaks and glistening lakes to expansive salt flats and the most impressive waterfalls in the world.

Nestled at the foot of the Andes, at the northern point of Patagonia, is Argentina’s magnificent Lake District. The alpine scenery of dense forest, snow-capped mountains, picturesque villages and pristine azure lakes offer stunning views and invite exploration, be it on foot, horseback or in a hired car. 

Further south in Patagonia is the immense Perito Moreno Glacier, set within the huge Lake Argentina amid snow-capped mountains and dense forest. From here it is a scenic three hour drive to the charming small town of El Chalten, departure point for day long hikes through ever-changing scenery to remote lagoons nestled at the foot of the chiseled peaks of the Fitz Roy mountain range.

The north east of the country is home to tropical jungle, at the heart of which sit the thundering Iguazu Falls - the largest waterfall system in the world, one third taller and twice as wide as Niagara. Here, some 250 waterfalls are spread along the Iguazu River, forming a border with neighbouring Brazil. The most well-known point of the falls is the impossibly powerful Devil’s Throat, where visitors are soaked by the spray emanating from the foamy water as it gushes over the side into the misty abyss.

Further west are the rugged deserts, deep gorges and curious rock formations of the Salta province, which provide a stunning backdrop to unforgettable trips to multicoloured hills, picture-perfect vineyards and vast salt flats.
