There is a taxi stop and bus stop area to transport passengers to La Paz city centre and its surroundings. The estimated journey is 30 minutes in moderate traffic.

The airport comprises a single terminal building with separated sections for national and international flights.
At present, there are flights on 25 different routes from La Paz El Alto International Airport, connecting LPB to 25 different cities in 10 different countries. The most popular routes connect La Paz to Cochabamba, Santa Cruz, Rurenabaque, Sucre and Cobija. Connections are straightforward as a single terminal taking approximately 10-15 minutes’ walk between gates.
